Organic Port
The first Port made entirely from organically grown grapes is produced by the house of Fonseca and is called Terra Prima (Terra Bella in the United States). For a Port to be certified organic, it is necessary for both the wine and the fortifying spirit (brandy) to have been produced from organically grown grapes. The Fonseca organic Port is certified by Ecocert, the European organic produce certifying agency.
