Taylor’s returns to Jazz FM for 26 weeks starting Tuesday 22 October on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 7pm on Dinner Jazz presented by Helen Mayhew and Sarah Ward (DAB Digital Radio, Sky 0202, Freesat 729, or mobile app).
The partnership of Taylor’s Port and Dinner Jazz provides a timely prompt for listeners to open a bottle of Taylor’s with their evening meal whilst relaxing before dinner. It will feature a series sensational puds with Taylor’s presented by leading chefs on Tuesdays called "Decadent Desserts”, Tasting Thursdays with Taylor’s Managing Director Adrian Bridge, and some "Quirky Facts” on Saturdays which explore the wonderful traditions and historical oddities of the world of wine.
Executive Chef, Andy Rhodes from the Boisdale Group (London) kicks off the first sponsored feature with his "Decadent Dessert” featuring a hot Granada chocolate fondant and vanilla ice cream matched with Taylor’s Late Bottled Vintage. He is followed next week by John Williams, Executive Chef at the Ritz London, with another chocolate favourite - chocolate ganache with a Florentine base served with raspberries and Taylor’s Vargellas 2001 Vintage Port.
In the new series of "Tasting Thursdays”, Adrian Bridge opens a different bottle of Taylor’s Port each week. Each Port will be featured ahead of the show on http://www.jazzfm.com/microsite/Taylors-Port/
running alongside the series where listeners can learn about the featured Port and taste along with Adrian each Thursday. The site will also include a competition which will run for six weeks offering a mixed case of Taylor’s Port just in time for Christmas. Taylor’s 10 Year Old Tawny will be the first Port in the series on Thursday 24 October.
"Taylor’s Port returns as the headline sponsor of Dinner Jazz following a very successful first series which we ran for 26 weeks last year,” explained Adrian Bridge. "The synergy of Port with jazz is a natural one and offers a timely prompt to listeners ahead of the evening meal. We hope jazz lovers will be inspired by the delicious dessert pairings we have lined up in the current series and in turn, encourage the consumption of Taylor’s Port beyond the cheeseboard.”
Join Helen Mayhew and Taylor’s Port for 26 weeks starting tomorrow Tuesday 22 October from 7-10pm and from Friday to Sunday with Sarah Ward.
