The Wine

London, one of the world’s most iconic cities, is a dynamic blend of tradition, culture, and modernity. As the capital of the United Kingdom, it is a global hub for finance, culture, and innovation, attracting millions of visitors from all corners of the world. A city steeped in history, London is home to landmarks such as the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, and the Houses of Parliament, each symbolising the city’s rich heritage and influence on global affairs.

The connection between London and Taylor’s is deeply rooted in the company’s long history of exporting to the UK, dating back to the 17th century, and is reinforced by the city’s ongoing role as a key part of the Port trade. Today, London continues to be a city of both tradition and modernity, where the past and future meet, much like Taylor’s commitment to quality and innovation in the world of Port.

Taylor’s London City Edition is a blend of the finest full bodied fruit driven ports, specially created for this exclusive bottling. Aged to maturity in oak vats, this port has a deep red youthful colour and intense flavours reminiscent of dark cherry and blackcurrant. It is ready to be enjoyed and is the perfect accompaniment for chocolate based desserts and rich cheeses.

Storage

The bottle should be kept upright, protected from light and at a cool and constant temperature. The particular qualities of this wine allow it to be enjoyed over an extended period of time once opened, without losing its freshness and vibrancy. Optimum drinking time after opening the bottle is two months.

This wine is ready to drink and does not require decanting. The wine benefits from being served between 16ºC to 18ºC.
