Visitors who arrive at the Taylor’s Port web site (www.taylor.pt) using a mobile phone will now have the opportunity to go to our newly launched mobile version of the web site, providing fast and easy access to tasting notes for more than 50 Taylor’s Port wines. The site is optimized for iPhone, Android, Blackberry and other mobile devices, featuring large, easy-to-click buttons which have been designed to facilitate speedy navigation on a smaller screen.
In addition to information on all of our Port wines, the mobile site also includes the popular ‘Enjoying Port’ section of the recently launched desktop web site, complete with hints, tips and advice on how best to appreciate Taylor’s Port, and the ‘Where to buy’ area which enables visitors to find their local retailer in more than 60 countries around the world. The fourth area of the site is all about Taylor’s, with key information about our history, philosophy and key members of the Taylor’s team. With Facebook, and Google +1 buttons on every page, you can easily share your favourite pages with your friends and family.
"We have recently noticed an increasing number of visitors to our web site from visitors using mobile devices and this looks set to be an ever increasing trend into the future. It was important to Taylor’s to embrace this growing tendency and be the first Port house to launch a web site specifically with the mobile user in mind. With this new, lighter version of the web site our customers can have quick access to tasting notes from anywhere, be it their local wine retailer or even the dining table,” commented Nick Heath, Marketing Director of Taylor’s Port.
