A group of the USA’s key wine journalists were recently invited to a unique tutored tasting of Taylor Fladgate Vintage and Aged Tawny Portos, led by Taylor Fladgate CEO Adrian Bridge, at the stylish ‘Eleven’ Madison Park restaurant in New York.
The high point of the tasting was the unveiling of Taylor Fladgate’s SCION Porto, a unique pre-Phylloxera Porto made in the mid-nineteenth century.
An introduction to pre-phylloxera wines was delivered by Charles Curtis MW, head of sales for Christie’s North America and Asia.
Adrian Bridge, then introduced a line up of exceptional Taylor Fladgate wines such as the Parker 100-point Taylor Fladgate 1992 Vintage Porto as well as the highly rated 2003 Vintage, culminating with the rare and magical SCION.
