From Monday October 15th for the next six months, tune in to JazzFM (DAB Digital Radio, Sky 0202, Freesat 729, or mobile app), to enjoy the perfect way to unwind after a long day at work with Dinner Jazz and Taylor’s Port.
Presented by Helen Mayhew and Sarah Ward, the Dinner Jazz show, which is broadcast daily between 19:00 and 22:00 in the UK, will be taking you on a journey through the world of Taylor’s Port wine, with interesting facts on how it is made, interviews with key personalities from Taylor’s Port and useful advice on how to enjoy one of the finest wines in the world.
Every week, during Tasting Thursday, Adrian Bridge, Managing Director of Taylor’s Port will be opening a different bottle of Taylor’s Port on air and presenting his tasting notes and opinions of the wine. The first Tasting Thursday on 18th October will begin with Taylor’s Vintage 2000, a rich and elegant wine with luscious black fruit flavours and a long finish.
Commenting on the partnership, Adrian Bridge, said, "The Dinner Jazz show with Taylor’s Port is the perfect combination to relax at the end of the day. In much the same way as jazz, there are many different facets of Port, and we hope that you join us every evening to enjoy and savour the simple pleasure of Dinner Jazz and Taylor’s Port.”
Other features will include guest appearances from Port lovers, such as Jeremy Bowen from Paxton & Whitfield, Britain's leading cheesemonger for over 200 years, who will be presenting his favourite cheeses to enjoy with Port.
In support of the partnership, there is also a website at http://www.jazzfm.com/taylors where you can listen to an archive of features from the show and watch videos of interviews which took place at this year’s harvest at Taylor’s vineyards in the Douro Valley, Quinta de Vargellas.
